The title, Songs of Blood and Sword, is a line from the opening poem by Khorsrow Glosurkhi executed in 1972, 7 years before the fatidic political assassination of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1979. An exectution which will open the way to subsequent terror and sinister political assassinations of three of his heirs, including Fatima Bhutto's father Mir Murtaza Bhutto in 1996. A loving and moving memoir of the father she lost at the age of fourteen. |
